Excursions & Tours
October 7 is “Wild Day” at WILD10!
Spain is a country of diverse landscapes, cultures, architecture, and history, with much to explore. We have prepared a very diverse and exciting offering of optional excursions for delegates to choose from for October 7, a day dedicated to experiencing all the beauty and splendor of northwest Spain. All excursions have a description of the day, general timing, inclusions, and pricing. Delegates are encouraged to participate in Wild Day by confirming an optional excursion of their choice when they register for the Congress to ensure a space on their desired excursion. Tours are limited, and subject to availability and payment at the time of booking.
Excursions range from historic guided walking tours of Salamanca and the preserved medieval town of Avila, to local winery tours, and customized nature excursions with a focus on topics such as birding, hiking, and wilderness conservation. All tour package costs will include transportation, guides/naturalists/entry fees where applicable, and beverages and/or lunch for full day tours.
Pre and Post WILD10 Tours
For those delegates wishing to arrive in Spain prior to, or extend after the Congress, we have put together some fascinating multi-day tours of Madrid and the most exciting surrounding destinations, including Toledo and Segovia. Tour descriptions outline the daily itinerary and hotel accommodations and other inclusions, and provide contact details for you to inquire about particular dates and receive additional information on the tours. We hope many of you will take the unique opportunity to experience and explore this amazing country, and discover the warm of its people, the sumptuousness of its cuisine, and the incredible art and history that is present everywhere you turn.
Suggestions and “traveler’s tips” for self-guided tours to nature-based destinations will be posted soon!
